Chief Executive Officer
As Co-Founder and CEO, Anthony is the visionary behind the Napster Group. Having had early access to Virtual Reality, Anthony swiftly identified its commercial potential and the opportunity it presented to unlock new ways for music fans and artists to connect. Before conceiving MelodyVR in 2014, Anthony capitalised on his previous experience as an audio engineer to build a new division for the advertising industry’s most respected sound studio: Wave. He opened new revenue streams for the business, bringing in world-class clients including Microsoft Studios, Sony Computer Entertainment, King.com and Ubisoft. It is this entrepreneurial spirit that has allowed Anthony to transform the business from a revolutionary concept into a powerful business reality, securing partnerships with some of the world’s biggest record labels and VR leaders along the way.
Chief Relationship Officer
Napster’s Chief Relationship Officer has an unwavering commitment to realising great ideas and a belief in the power of personal relationships; a belief that helped him build events management company, Zest Hospitality Group, from scratch. The experience saw Steven work with FTSE 100 companies, while generating new revenue streams for stately homes. After selling the business in 2011, Steven joined Ibiza Rocks as Commercial Manager, overseeing sales and marketing and helping to build the business into one of Europe’s fastest growing youth lifestyle brands. This widened Steven’s exposure to the music industry and has been invaluable in securing partnerships with major labels. A true advocate for the ability to benefit fans, artists and labels alike, Steven further raises the company’s profile through regular appearances on industry speaker panels.
Following spells at the BBC and at Piccadilly Radio, where he helped establish PPM Radiowaves, an independent production company, Simon founded The Unique Broadcasting Company (Unique). Unique became a market leader in both the production of network radio programmes for commercial radio throughout the UK and BBC Radio. In 2000, Unique floated on the London Stock Exchange as part of UBC Media Group PLC (UBC) (now called 7digital Group PLC), with Simon as Chief Executive. UBC were leaders in content production and software development for the global radio and online communities.
Grant is currently Managing Member at Global Frontier Investments, LLC, a US-based investment manager, and Portfolio Manager for Global Frontier Partners, LP. Prior to founding Global Frontier Investments, Mr Dollens worked for Ayer Capital Management, BA Venture Partners and Deutsche Bank. Grant also holds a Masters in Business Administration with majors in analytical finance, management & strategy, and accounting and a BSE, biomedical engineering, from Duke University. Mr Dollens is also a Non-Executive Director of WANdisco plc, the AIM listed live data company for machine learning and AI.
Group CFO at Purplebricks plc, Andy has wide and varied experience derived from a number of high-profile finance and commercial roles at high growth, digital companies such as; Zoopla (ZPG plc), Secret Escapes, notonthehighstreet.com, Betfair and lastminute.com. Andy’s experience covers key areas such as: M&A, financing, business development, restructuring, financial reporting and risk management as well as operational P&L management. In his role as a Non-Executive Director at Napster, Andy chairs the audit committee.
The board has adopted a formal schedule of matters reserved for decision by it.
The board has an audit committee and a remuneration committee, the memberships of which are set out below. Each committee has clear terms of reference.
The remuneration committee comprises Simon Cole as chairman, and Grant Dollens. It will meet not less than twice each year. The committee will be responsible for the review and recommendation of the scale and structure of remuneration for senior management, including any bonus arrangements or the award of share options with due regard to the interests of the shareholders and the performance of the group.
The audit committee comprises Andy Botha as chairman and Simon Cole. It will meet not less than twice a year. The committee will be responsible for making recommendations to the board on the appointment of auditors and the audit fee and for ensuring that the financial performance of the group is properly monitored and reported. In addition, the audit committee will receive and review reports from management and the auditors relating to the interim report, the annual report and accounts and the internal control systems of the group.
